The western coast of Norway is the rainy side of the country. In fact, Bergen is known as The City of Rain. But then again, Bergen is a warm winter city due to the action of the Gulf Stream.

Bergen starts warming up in May. The best time to go--June through August--offers average reasonable temperatures but around an average of 17 days per month of rain. April-May and September offer the best in off-season weather for those who'd rather not travel in summer. October isn't bad, but the rain is ramping up.
